Privacy

We process as little data as possible. This notice explains what that data is, why we need it and how you get rid of it again. The legally binding version is the German one.

Visiting this website

When these pages are called up, our hosting provider automatically processes server log data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This processing serves the secure and stable operation of the website and is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The data is not merged with other data sources.

The “Plan your visit” form

If you send the form, we process the details you enter — your name, how to reach you and what you want to tell us — solely in order to answer your enquiry and prepare your first visit. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) and (f) GDPR.

There is no newsletter, no mailing list and no disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes. We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention periods apply — immediately, if you ask us to.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no marketing or tracking cookies and embeds no advertising networks. Only a technically necessary entry is stored locally in your browser once you confirm the privacy bar. No personal profiling takes place.

Fonts and external content

The fonts used (Fraunces, Source Sans 3, IBM Plex Mono) are delivered locally with the website via next/font. No connection to Google servers is established when you open these pages.

Linked external services such as Instagram, YouTube and Google Maps are only loaded once you actively click the respective link. The privacy policies of those providers then apply.

Hosting

The website is hosted by a service provider within the European Union. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with that provider.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to p.odimson@web.de is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for Herten this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
